I have seen other stuff like this before. There is an Atari game called Mountain King that has a similar flaw. It is just a shitty platformer, but if you perform a jump glitch in the correct place, you can end up outside of the game. From that point, messing around with input from different controllers will change the layout/colour/movement of the platforms. I've also seen speedrunners do similar things with old games to jump through the game faster.
