God damn that's quite a lot. I picked up a few of those titles as well and already had some others.

What's your thoughts on hell let loose? I'm a but of a ww2 buff and have been eyeballing that one.

Also have you checked out dyson sphere program? It's satisfactory ish and a lot of fun.

I'll be honest, Hell Let Loose has its issues. Like I said, I already refunded it once. Performance was pretty poor and I felt like the gameplay wasn't that fun. However, if you're willing to overlook some things it is probably the best WW2 game around, and likely will get better as time goes on.

It is pretty CPU heavy, I have a Ryzen 5 4600h and have been capping the temp at 83c when I play, there is some stutter and frame drops when lots of people are in one area or theres a ton of explosions and stuff happening, but it isn't like 30fps constantly or anything, I'm getting between 60-120 with occasional dips to 40, so not awful but could be optimised better. You have to force dx12 in the launch options and change some of the graphical options to increase performance. Also there's stuff like foliage quality and shadows etc that are actually preferable to turn down so it makes it easier to see people, which is unfortunate because the game looks great on higher settings.

Gameplay wise, all the maps are good, with the exception of one that is getting a massive overhaul soon, Stalingrad update is coming later this month with Russian troops and stuff as well. It can be a running simulator at times but is nowhere near as bad as Arma in that respect. Your spawns are all placed by squad leaders on your team, so if they get wiped out or nobody places them because they're retarded, it can be a bit irritating to run hundreds of metres back to the action. It is very, very hard to see people in this game compared to most FPS games. You really have to move slowly and gain an understanding of where enemies likely are otherwise you will die, respawn, run, die, repeat.

Matches are focused around capturing points and defending them above all else. Each game feels unique with the different spawn points and lots of different stuff happening even on the same maps. On the beaches at Normandy you will be mowed down by machine guns 20 times before you get a spawn point up that is safe, it does not balance matches in the way a traditional FPS would. Communication and knowing what you should be doing within a role is very important but not a necessity. All in all if you're looking for something with more depth than Battlefield but not something as sim-like as Arma/Squad, Hell Let Loose is it.

I did play a little bit of DSP, I ended up not liking it that much but really I didn't put enough time in it to give it a real chance. I'm sure I'll come back to it at some point.

So it sounds like WLL is a but like warthunder in a lot of ways as far as the legging it to any action.

I got a R9 3900x paired with a 5700xt so frame drop shouldn't be much of an issue.

You should pm me your screen name and see if we can game together sometime.

Haven't played it yet but I am looking forward to spending all day in my wage cage and being verbally abused by my black son.
