I have a similar view of the guy. While I share some of his views, I disagree with probably a larger number. But I find him to be reasonable, and he explains himself well.
My only complaint is that he does so in a way that is hard for his opposition to swallow. I think he is usually reduced to 'preaching to the choir' because of that.
He may have some good points, but people will not listen if you make them angry.

Yes, broadly I agree with that statement. That's very common from many people, no matter their position.
I've taken to listening to his daily podcast they post on YT/Facebook (I listen to it through YT), and find it's mostly reasonable. He doesn't mind calling out bad things Republicans/Trump do that he doesn't like and that isn't "correct" conservative dogma; and of course, being a conservative he will happily bash on liberals whenever it's called for. Naturally I won't agree with everything (and most people won't either), but I find he's extremely rational and thoughtful, and is capable of holding out for evidence and believing multiple things can be true at once (like "Trump is an asshole" and "But he probably didn't collude with Russia").
I think it's worth a few listens for people who are interested in a conservative POV that's actually quite reasonable and I wish more people were as rational and thoughtful as he typically is.
