These type things don't usually end up with big settlements. If nothing else, hopefully the death of the dog will make a difference for another in the future.

You never know with lawyers involved. But it sounds legit and like the pound has basically admitted it screwed up.
This stuff happens way too much, the dog is just doing what dogs do ... defending his territory. Very sad it had to end like this.
