Coyotes are extremely smart animals compared to dogs, Its trying to rile your dog up enough that it will jump the fence and chase it into the woods, where it probably has 3 or 4 more coyotes waiting to ambush. Sneaky little bastards that's for sure, but this is a common tactic they use on domesticated dogs"
edit: does anyone see how the coyote acts like it's not a predator just sniffing? like it's just a little bitch? it's super intelligent.
