It's not great bindwork and it's still not finished: I have not put the cover pages on.

Yes, I put the binding (or at least the printing) date on the front cover. Looking at it now it's rather confusing. I think I replaced a date marking when it was assembled into the Gutenberg library. I did have to go through and reformat the whole book after importing it from Gutenberg, so some reference to the layout alteration would be helpful.

The cover is multilayer cardboard wrapped in cloth- an old tshirt. I have done other fabric covers but not with a knitted material. I prefer a thin woven fabric cover but this knitted tshirt works too and it's a slight bit softer.

The page edges are unevenly cut and feathered because of the way I printed the shrunken book pages and then folded them into signatures for sewing. The paper size wasn't a proper ratio of the smaller book page (thanks US letter) so I had to trim it down. Because I neglected to trim the pages as I folded them, I resorted to trimming the whole book block in one go with a hacksaw- thus the hack job.
