Don't sail with people who yell at you. People who race sailboats are ridiculous. They spend insane amounts of money to try to make one of the slowest conveyances on earth go round in circles a half a second faster than the next idiot with a micro-penis and too much money.
Get yourself on some voyaging boats and learn about traditional seamanship. Voyaging boats are made to transport bodies and souls to places that can't be found on a chart... you'll never find those places on a race boat, I promise you.
