A candidate was late for his onsite interview.

As Silicon Valley’s most innovative thought leader and CEO of a fast growing machine cloud learning blockchain startup, I understood completely.

The candidate totaled his car and broke both legs in a horrific car accident 836 miles away from our office.

He was crawling down the freeway with his bare hands because he desperately wanted this job where he could #disrupt the industry.

I personally drove to find him, bought him a Tesla Model X to replace the old car, and gave him the job on the spot.

There are engineers who just want a high TC, and those who want to make the world a better place. You have to nurture the minds of the future and do whatever it takes to make them work for you.

Agree?

Last week an employee stormed into my office.

He asked a simple, but direct question.

How can we hire more 10x engineers?

I looked him dead in the eye.

Easy, but nobody gets it.
