I've visited quite a few offices. None that I saw were anything near as sacious as those. They were all mostly rows and rows of desktops with the people so close together that they could all stretch their arms out and shake hands at the same time.

It's a small wonder that there are so few office shootings.

The first couple offices I worked in were similar to this, but with more privacy. Once I moved to California, the office spaces were all open floor plans with people parked so close together it was hard to not look at your neighboring co-worker's monitor. That was somewhat helpful at times when we were working 100+ hour weeks and had to be constantly talking out problems, but on normal weeks the workplace was just horrible to try and concentrate in.
