Long gone are the days when a man could easily fix nearly any problem on a vehicle w/ a set of basic mechanic's tools. I was working on an old mopar as a teenager and needed to set the points in the car but alas I could not find a feeler gauge. I went in to ask my father and he opened a matchbook and handed it to me. He pointed at the cardboard edge of the flap and simply said set it w/ that. Ran perfectly after. I've used that trick two other times working on old mopars when I was younger. Always worked like a champ.
