WeWork boasts 6,000 employees worldwide, according to Bloomberg. The company estimates its no-meat policy will save 15,507,103 animals by 2023

That math doesn't make sense...

  • 15,507,103 animals / 6000 employees = 2584.52 animals per employee in the next 4.5 years.
  • 4.5 years * 12 = 54 months
  • 2584.52 animals / 54 months = 47.86 animals per month per employee
  • 47.86 animals / 30 days per month = 1.59 animals per employee per day

I don't know about you, but I don't eat an animal and a half per day

You probably eat a part of an animal and a half per day.

Sure, but if 6000 employees decide to not eat 6000 chicken legs on a single day, that doesn't count as saving 6000 chickens. The only difference would be a sharp rise in price for chicken wheelchairs.

Well duh, chickens have two legs. You just take one leg off and then wait for it to grow back before you chop it off again. So really, to have 6000 chicken legs, you need anywhere between 1-6000 chickens.
