Paper books if it's a first time read. Audio I feel subjects you to the reader's interpretation of the text and kindle is too much of a pain to go back in the text if you feel you missed something. Plus something about turning pages completes the reading experience for me.

Yeah I prefer paper but audiobooks I am hoping can help me waste less time when driving. The issue is if I daydream or something comes up I will not miss anything with a kindle or paper book. With audio I find it hard not to miss large parts of the story since my mind wanders. Podcasts with Q&A seem best (for my mind) since you don't have to hear every part to get something out of it.

I recently listened to L'Amour's Last of the Breed on Audible and it was fun, but if I hadn't read it a decade or more ago I would have missed too much.
