When I lived in a small 4 person dorm room with double bunks, one guy had a girlfriend. All they did was hang up a "privacy sheet". This would definitely be better.

Not if the guy up top has a girlfriend. It's bad enough when they're on the other side of the wall.
Maybe that's a selling point for some?
