Well, there's a normal thought.
For countries that have significant impoverished populations, it's completely unsurprising to me that extraordinarily hard times translate directly to extra deaths.

But it's not enough to just advise the old and at-risk to stay home, we gotta outlaw entire industries in solidarity! /s
