That's why we see a lot of factories in Mexico, but I don't think we have that disadvantage with European workers.

Not with the workers directly, but logistic costs tend to be less for them.
They are able to produce the vehicles at a lower cost even though there wages are still good.

That sounds like an opportunity for the US to step up their game.

I would agree.
But it won't happen any time soon. The concept of public funding being used to build the infrastructure is a hard sell in the US.
