Sedition is removing or overthrowing the government or enough officials so that the government cannot function.

It doesn't matter WHO does the removing. Sedition is sedition.

35 democrats left Texas to prevent the functioning of a government because they didn't have the power to stop republicans because they didn't hold a majority.

They committed sedition. Instead of doing their jobs, they left because they weren't in power and control.

Here's the kicker:

If it were Republicans who had done this, democrats would be screaming for blood nonstop. But because they're democrats, they won't be prosecuted.

Independents and republicans are taking notes. They're going to remember this. And they will beat democrats over the head with this as viciously as they can.

Oregon Republicans fled the state to Idaho and hung out with militia just to avoid voting on bills twice in 2019.

This isn't the first time this stupid tactic has been used.

Why are you even commenting here? You already said you don't care what I say. I know that didn't change so you're here either as a liar or you just can't help yourself (which means I live in your head rent free).

If it were Republicans who had done this...

They did it in Oregon. Denying a quorum just happens to be a criminal offense in Texas.

It just happens they're not being arrested in Texas. I'm completely not surprised.

Hm? Last I heard the state legislature called for them to be brought back, in handcuffs if necessary. Did that change?

It isn't sedition if they won't perform they're duties. That's "malfeasance in office."

They literally left the state. Removal of self is still removal.

That is voluntarily absenting oneself, not removal. Removal covers kidnapping and imprisonment. Malfeasance is enough to bring charges.

Yeah, I don't play word games. They removed themselves.

But... even if that were true, they still haven't been arrested, charged. If the party power had been flipped, you know the democrats would have been all over charging and arresting republicans who left.
