Forecast is calling for somewhere between 111 to 113 degrees on Sunday. I've never seen it get that hot this side of the Cascade mountains. If you don't hear from me by Tuesday....

I believe we're mainly hydro power. And thankfully we're early on in the current drought. But only like 30% of the current homes about to affected have AC. In the PNW we usually only have a few weeks of 90's and maybe a couple days in the low 100's.
I hate to say it, but expect some casualties from this area by tuesday.
California… Power grid… Have the Enron execs gotten out of jail?
AC is a huge power draw, and the hottest part of the day is from roughly 3pm to 9pm. Meanwhile an ever-increasing proportion of our power grid is supplied by solar...which has peak output at around noon and gradually fades out ahead of peak power usage.
Fundamentally, California is anti-human. If you want to build infrastructure... well you can't, because it would hurt the environment.
Otter pops. You want otter pops.
That's actually what I'm used to calling them but I know it's a regional thing.
Nah, I've seen in the midwest down to the southeast.
Hopefully your power grid is better than California's and can support people using their AC
