Digg was better in its early days. Really the first mainstream link aggregator that got a lot of attention. I do miss early reddit tho...those days of knowing the news 3 days before it would be reported are long gone. I actually would publically post on reddit to meet up with people and did a few times. Good place to meet board game frens then.

Sigh. Sometimes weeks/months ahead of a story gaining traction. Now people are too freaked out to share much of value, I find. Everyone used to self dox for funsies.

Digg was a pioneer in shedding 90% of its userbase in a single week. I think it was 2009 or 2010 when they released that redesign monstrosity and almost everyone seamlessly moved to reddit, which was still in it's younger days at the time.
