Let me start by saying I use a strong password on all accounts and change them monthly, no two accounts have the same password.

Today I checked my bank account and saw a amazon pending charge of $107, I know I've not ordered anything in over a week. I open a chat with amazon and learned someone (Anna) used my account to order ?. I then call amazon and did some complaining plus told the dude cancel the order freeze or close my account. He reply's I cant, so I ask to be transferred to someone who can ( I'm googling how to close amazon account) Long story short the dude who sounds like he's from India was useless but I managed canceled the order and closed my account. I also emailed a few friends and attached the chat and phone conversation to them and they closed their accounts as well until amazon can fix there issues of no security. This is why I hate online stores to store my information.

Easiest thing on the planet is to create a "credit card" on privacy.com, link it to your amazon account and then just keep it paused until you buy something. You'll get a notice when someone tries to charge something so you'll know someone's hacking your account.
