After 2 1/2 years on Poal, I deleted my account since Voat refugee extremists seem to be 90% of the post and comments. Far right anarchy is not my thing.

I have checked out poal's all/hot randomly through the years. It went from being whoaverse/early voat to late voat very quickly. @polsaker actually did a good thing restricting account creation here during the flood.

Wondering if I should share fake news there and see if more than two users notice. That's sad it was a fun community.

I really don't know if real freedom of speech has a chance on the interwebs. By real, I mean a place in which you can have any and every kind of idea flowing, with no raids, witch hunts, character destruction, doxxing or whatever nasty thing alike. Reddit was like that for some time, but became corrupt by monetary reasons. Whoaverse had a good start, but once they declared guaranteed freedom of speech and Reddit started persecuting certain subs, its fate was written. It looks like there's no way to keep the freedom in free speech for large places, either it's a small community or it'll be owned to serve as some group's agenda platform. I kinda liked poal, I left because I believed my account was compromised, but even back there the bitterness was a bit too much.

Big places start needing big money for upkeep. Only reasonably small commuities can be kept afloat without spoiling

The future is the past: small communities that you find on accident.

Phuks is slowly morphing into a cakefarts meets skynet internet megapower.
