I learned this year that peas, beets and radishes tend to have a 100% chance of growing after being sown. I had to do so much thinning for the root veggies, which made a nice salad. I just let the peas live super close together just to see what would happen. I had 2 fences around them and ran every other one a different direction so they had better airflow. They only died after the Japanese beetles attacked. Thankfully the beetles only wanted the peas and left everything else alone

Yeah, I did 6 inches apart alternating with corn.
I planted 100 of each. 46 corn sprouted. ALL of the peas sprouted. I am NOT doing that again.
