Yeah, I don't think that everything can be solved by finding the middle ground, like the video claims. However, I do think a lot of issues can be solved with compromise but people and the government choose not to purely based on political alignment. Which I think is retarded.

I mostly agree, except for this 'the truth lies in the middle' rubbish. There's no guarantee that the truth lies withing the Overton window on isolated issues. One can fail to fit within 2-party politics by being more red than red on some issues while simultaneously being more blue than blue on others.
