I'm going to someone's house and just bringing redskin mashed potatoes and they will do traditional turkey stuff.
@Polsaker do you do anything today in Argentina?

I found online that Argentina had a 'Colombus Day' holiday that was changed to the "Day of respect for cultural diversity"... I assume you're not Argentinian?
Day of respect for cultural diversity
It used to be named day of the race... i'd prefer it to be columbus day, or the day of the americas
I cooked my very first thanksgiving dinner. I did a big stuffed turkey, mashed potatoes, candied yams (my husband said they were perfect - I can't stand them), bread, hush puppies, cornbread/chestnut dressing, bread/potato/celery/sage sausage stuffing, corn, green beans, an apple pie and a pumpkin pie, and pumpkin nut bread.
I sure did! But you guys didn't come so we decided to eat everything right away in one sitting.
Just kidding. The last of the turkey was our lunch on Wednesday.
I was soooo pleased with how it all turned out. Especially the dressing. I've never had any truck with chestnuts before, but the recipe was dead on.
Thanksgiving isn't a thing here. But I cooked up some steak for lunch because it's Friday and I got all my work done and I'm full of thanks for that.
I made a batch of my Apple Jack moonshine.
