I am again reminded of the fact that my in-laws are a pack of blathering idiots.

I'm not excited about the next few hours. A bunch of morons sitting around watching foosball and flapping their traps about nothing. They even have horrible opinions about hockey.

We invited a couple we knew from NY to share the day. We didn't bother with TV. Organized sports are a bane upon intelligence and should be relegated to entertainment for prison inmates, not pushed at normal, thinking people.

Those are hours you'll regret.

When the family sucks, try inviting over friends, instead.

Dealing with them for an evening is easier than the dealing with the drama if I snubbed them on the hloiday.

I understand. But sometimes I think an idiot can be trainable. Maybe.

It was a very wise man who once said "Anyone who thinks that they have achieved enlightenment should spend one week with their family over the holidays."
