I'm not a constant internet guy. Where should I go to get some brain stimulation when I want it nowadays?

I miss when the dozen big social sites didnt control it all. News, sports, politics.. It's all clicks, and tracking, and polls for a lot of the internet now. Plus paid opinion/editorials that look like news are everywhere.

Phuks is small and quiet and none of that bs.. Drop some stories you like and browse a few others, then move on. No worries. We're only one format for finding and sharing info. If you have any ideas on how to make it easier or any new features, let us know. We're still actively developing new stuff and we'll keep the lights on as long as we can :)

edit: I guess I didn't really answer that, huh.. I pretty much just gave an excuse to why I have trust issues and don't endorse anything else :/

It's okay. I think the internet is just going through a phase right now. It's like having a 14 year old daughter. It stresses you out, but it will pass.

Na man....you didn't give an excuse you gave a reason.

It's obvious you have something here and a loyal base of people that support it. You started something and have a somewhat obligation to maintain it how you see fit.

People that bitch and moan about free speech don't get that online sites like this, Reddit, voat, or poal don't have any obligation to such a claim. They can say it, but when someone deplatforms them from something like PayPal and voat back in the day......shit changes.

You do what you think is best for this place.

I don't think there's a perfect site out there, you just gotta find one where the flaws are more tolerable to you than others. For me, the low content here is definitely worth it for the great community. If you want high content, there's reddit, but that's a shit tier community. Just gotta pick your poison.

Ya, that's the picture I'm getting. I'm an old guy, early adopter, Went to reddit from digg, went to voat from reddit, came here and a couple other places from voat. I don't get why it's so hard to maintain a site with organic commenting. I would love it! A lot of people would love it.But profiteers always find a way to come in and turn a site to crap. And now here we are.

Poal has grown nicely. It can be odd with the captcha at login. But, it has a lot more content these days, without the deep hate level of Voat. Saddit is pretty good also.
