So the office building I work at has an ATM on the first floor. There have also been construction crews gutting and redoing the entire first floor (removing a kitchen and fitness center and prepping the area for more office space).
This guy drove from two hours away to figure out why the "home company" that monitors the ATM lost contact with it. He gets in and the ATM is no longer there. It's just gone. Turns out that the construction company had moved it. Oh man was he pitching a fit. I figure out what's going on and the simplicity of why there's a problem and a lack of proper professional communication is just hilarious to me. Of course, I'm laughing. He sees the humor in it so he's not mad that I'm laughing but he's still pretty pissed. Great guy, we talked for a couple of minutes on the elevator. So now he's running around on several floors of the building trying to find the manager of the construction company so he can find the missing ATM.
I think someone is going to have a proper flogging before the day is over.
The amount of hassle I've had to put up with over the last 15 months with this remodeling has been absurd. They decided to replace all of the plumbing while doing the siding. At one point I had to move to a hotel with my cats for 3 weeks because they fucked up real bad and cut off all water to our building. Good times
