The Mark II corrected this issue by using an aerated cactus pulp sandwiched between the Balsa layers. Of course, as with the Mark I, it was fired really well to give it that lightweight feel and air smooth texture.

I found the Balsa neck on the Mark I made the guitar unbalanced, they cut the weight right down on the Mark II. Neil Young played one I hear?
