I had one of those toilets that had a 4/6 star water rating sticker on it. A bit like https://i.imgur.com/7IPND9H.png

The bathroom in the house was generally nice. A nice vanity. Cupboard with mirror. A shower door.

The worst thing about the bathroom was easily the toilet.

The problem with these 'water saving' toilets is that they lack the power to wash away a shit. They may decolour the water and maybe flush away the toilet paper. But you're left with a shit just floating there in clear water.

You can only really do one thing... flush it again.

What's the point in that? A weak flush is good for a piss. A weak flush is rubbish for a shit.

How is it 'water saving' when you lose flushing performance? Ultimately, you have to double flush to ensure that all of the bodily excretions have gone to the underworld.

It would have been better to just have an old toilet that uses more water in the initial flush, but you don't have to double flush. That does more to save water than these 'water efficient' toilets do.

This is a shitty situation.

Poop in a coffee can full of sawdust. Flush by adding more sawdust. Revolutionary water saving technology.
