True, but it doesn't send a message of credibility or seriousness. In fact I'll instantly discount whatever you're saying if you have to resort to gimmicks; the message should be powerful enough to speak for itself, and if it can't it is suspect. But I think you're right, they're probably doing this to get more attention/fire up the base.
