You know it's odd. Aside from governor, congressman and maybe 2 others. The other 70% of positions ran uncontested in my district. Quite surprising considering how hyped this midterm is.
I dunno If I just am older and pay more attention. But never in my life have I seen so much vigor about voting in a midterm.
As a side note. This political shit had been going hardcore since 2015 with no sign of slowing down and I for one am simply exhausted from it. The polarity of both sides and the constant conflict and controversy being drummed up wears the whole situation down into a dull fervor.
Yeah, the media on both sides have fanned these flames for an eternity now, with zero signs they'll let up. They keep accusing each other of stirring hate and such ... to me, it's the media that's doing that.

It's getting ridiculous here in Georgia. We've been getting campaign mailings supporting Abrams or Kemp 2-3 days a week since the beginning of October. Pretty much strengthened my resolve to not vote for either one.
It gets that way. You end up totally turned off by all the endless BS.
My god, I have to check my mail every day in danger of my mail being undeliverable the next day because there are so many damn LARGE campaign fliers for every position imaginable. I fear I've thrown out legitimate mail while mass throwing those fliers away
I can barely listen to any talk radio anymore because of this damn election cycle. It's the same hysteria day after day after month after year gah. Can't we petty please talk about something else?
Yeah, even after it's over, then it'll be months and months of gloating by whoever. It's time to get politics the hell outta Dodge and start having everyone just doing real news again. But nooooo ... they live for that crap like it's a football game or something.
