My best friend's dad growing up used to have us mix ketchup and ranch together in order to make homemade French dressing. What other awful combinations have you had?

Ketchup and mayonnaise is actually not bad as a substitute to put on a prawn salad or something.

I don't think I've ever seen that in the states. Tuna salad, egg salad and chicken salad yes. Never prawn

My mum always makes it as a starter for Christmas dinner. Not sure why. In fact that's the only time I've ever had it, as a starter.

This is called Marie Rose sauce.

Try mixing mayonaise with chili sauce, makes for a nice sauce for tosti's.
