The junky bum is the worst. They will position themselves uncomfortably close to you w/ track marks visible reeking of shit as they ask for change. The tactic is you'll be so repulsed you'd give them anything to get them away from you. Some people are just down on there luck, but there are others looking to terrorize you w/ their health and hygiene. Do not give into these fucks. It only makes them bolder the next time. Stay safe and stay armed. Not all muggings involve a knife.
I lived in a particularly shitty part of a city in my early twenties. Oddly enough before that and even though I'd hunted all my life I never considered concealed carry. Even still, now that I'm in a better neighborhood I should be better about carrying. Some people really are just crazy. I've gotten much better about it as of late though, I just picked up the S&W M&P Bodyguard .380. Convenience really does matter. I hear about these guys that like to tell you they cc a 1911 everywhere they go. Maybe that's comfortable if you live in Northern Canada. I am a fan of this little pocket rocket I must say. Makes my HK45C feel full sized.

Yeah, I get some hate over my LCP, too ... but at least it's one I'll actually slip in my pocket. Hell, I like the little 'mouse guns'. .380 is all I need, it's comfortable and I can put it in any pocket. More times than not I don't even realize I have it - LOL. The big boys are just too clumsy for me.

I'm actually about to buy another one my wife likes it so much. She's been carrying the snubnose colt python 500 her father gave her years ago. (Yeah she's tiny but she can shoot that cannon like a champ, I think I married gud)

Never recall having that happen to me, but I can relate. Carry a can of Right Guard along with your carry pistol - LOL
