As THC said, the costs to implement this would be astronomical, perhaps to the point of impracticality.

I can draw a crude comparison with a current situation in the UK. We are changing the shape of our pound coin slightly, and it is going to cost a lot of money for a couple of different reasons. One is changing the coin itself, another is changing everything that handles pound coins. The BPA has said that the cost of changing parking meters is going to be about 50 million, but there are other things like vending machines that will also need to be changed.

Changing the nozzles will mean changing all vehicles, not just the nozzles. I have no idea how much it would cost but it would not be cheap.
