Obviously the tank in the car must be corresponding.
Nope, they are anatomically the same. Black is for diesel though. But it is easy mistake for absent-minded person who needs to make a phonecall or needs to pee!
Imagine how elegant it would be to have one nozzle triangular and other cross-section.

Imagine how elegant it wouldn't be to fight with your fuel nozzle to get it properly aligned. Ever try to plug in a USB and it takes 3 tries to get it because you try it once, doesn't work, flip and try, nope, flip and try, works now. People will now be doing that with their fuel nozzles.
I think round is the way to go, change it in a different way.

They're difference sizes. I think you can put gasoline into a diesel spout, but not vice versa. Usually the handles will be green for diesel and any other color for gasoline.
EDIT: You should also, like, read. It should be obvious if you look at it for a moment. You should know what your car needs by name.
