Catbox is my go-to because they actually have a working reimbursement plan through Patreon, rather than to rely on ads or the good will and depth of the pockets of the owner. Every other independent image host is just another Slimgur waiting to happen.

There was one that stated with a V or something, right? Back when slimg was still slimgur. I can't remember the name for the life of me....IIRC it shut down and slimgur hosted a backup of their content.
It was interesting in the voat post because the owner of Catbox posted. I use catbox a lot and it's nice to see that they (him or her iunno) is active in a domain like voat. Hopefully they get more traffic and can handle it
The owner of catbox is a total NEET weeb. I still really like the site though and will make it my primary image host for the time being.
