A dark car in the summer gets really hot inside. You'll not perform as good in this heat as you would in more bearable temperatures; you'll endanger yourself and others, similar to drunk driving. That's why you put in an A/C. Better use a little fuel to cool a few m3 of air than to waste lifes.
