My addiction isnt alcohol, but it started similar to yours and Im working on it.
Understandable, and not judging you.
IMHO, theres a difference. Drinking to go to sleep/spending all day wasted outside the LCBO begging people to buy your alcohol for you.

Nah it's just that self reflection is a hard thing to do. I've been avoiding confronting myself about it. I've been prioritizing making sure I have enough time to get nicely drunk for bed, over accomplishing other responsibilities.
if it makes you feel better, there's always a silver lining. You're at home, and you're safe. No tab or taxi to pay, and you can go straight to bed. Hell, you dont even need to have clothes on. :) Happy Canada Day long weekend!
