I usually am, too. But if I don't get alcohol to shut my brain down long enough to rest, I'd be stressing over all the shit I have to do tomorrow all night.
It gets me through the day. It won't get me through the years, my BP will explode from that, but running at 10PM on no food since 6AM after a 15 hour work day isn't going to cut it.
