Saw this when I dropped by Voat and thought it was a great commentary on the site of late, and those still defending it. This was one of the last two posts before Voat went down 4.8 hours ago. Voat Link
Again, I'm not anti-Voat, hell you know me. My trouble with it now is that Putt absolutely refuses to accept the slightest help from the many good users who would gladly donate time and effort to keep it up. Being burnt out is one thing and I can respect that, being stubborn is another.

Because you're you - LOL! Arguing is good for the soul.

I think there's a difference btw not caring and getting burnt out. Putt became a very public figure supporting absolute free speech and got nothing but shit for it. He's argued to allow stuff on that site I personally found reprehensible. There was this whole "starlets" sub of scantily dressed young folks. Since it technically didn't break any laws he allowed it. I remember bitching about it to him in chat.
It made me uncomfortable but like he said didn't break any laws. I wholeheartedly believe in free speech. There are aspects even I can't tolerate. I actually believe we can have free speech but need additional laws to protect kids. Let kids be kids. I'd even suggest social media should require an adult brain. Many people will think I'm wrong.
If you wouldn't hold a retard accountable for everything they said then why would you hold a 16y/o accountable? The internet never forgets
