Wrong mindset. I went into it thinking the same and almost stopped watching.
But once I understood what the show was, it started to grow on me.
And that guy doesn't end up getting (most) of the women.
It is a comedy about the worst possible people to have left as survivors.
There is no threats to their survival, other than trying to cope with each other.
It's about cheese and dumb comedy. Nothing more.

The 'anoyingness' is a skill that has served her well.
