The HTML/CSS is the only thing used from reddit.
The backend, and the actual logic of the frontend is entirely original.
No python code involved at all here.
Alternative frontend/uis are possible and encouraged.
Yeah I look at it as a modernification of reddit that should be infinitely easier to get running and to hack on.
I was excited. When you said 'built' I thought you meant from scratch.
Using the Reddit code will save a lot of work and make it easier, but I really don't like it.
It was very poorly designed, bloated, doesn't always load well and is absolute shit for mobile. Even worse than this sites mobile.
I support your idea, but not a fan of the software choice.
