I don't recognize Irish-Americans, Scottish-Americans, English-Americans, or even... African-Americans. They don't exist. You've got Americans and guests. Does it mean what YOU think it does? Probably not. If you choose to come here then you place this nation above others, otherwise fuck you. Oh you're a black-american? Fuck you too. All I expect... Is America always comes first. The day I decide to raise a family in Africa and call myself an American-African I'll tell you to kiss/kick my ass. If you can't let some shit go you'll never be truly "American".

Let's recap. i said fuck those black people, fuck those white people, and it went unsaid but fuck muslims b/c why not? I give a shit about what a man does. Not what he says. There comes a time when you have to abandon something though and stand for yourself. That's an American. It's a choice that shouldn't be disrespected.

There are three categories in my mind:

  • Americans
  • Guests (i.e. legal residents, tourists)
  • Invaders

I come from a different time ... a baby boomer, America was much different then. Now of course there was racism, I'm not denying that and it may not have been ideal for everyone ... but ...

We were all just Americans then and took great pride in it. We were taught that America was a 'great melting pot' and most everyone bought into that. Sure there were Irish, Italian, Polish, whatever just to name few, but no one saw themselves as an Irish-American. We were just Americans. Back then, that was expected. It didn't matter where you came from, you were expected to leave that behind. Celebrate it if you wish, but not dwell on it.

It was also the case back then that when you became a citizen you had to renounce citizenship of whatever land you came from. You couldn't be loyal to two or more countries. Somewhere along the line that changed, and ever since we've had these problems. I vote that no matter what color or origins, we become simply Americans again ... but nobody listens to me anyway, so that'll never happen.

I had a sensitive sort of discussion about dual-citizenship with a friend lately. I tend to agree that treating dual-citizens a second class citizens is justifiable in various situations. It would be a very hard choice for many immigrants, but a dual citizen's national loyalty is clearly questionable.

However, I think anyone who was forced to discard another citizenship would also be more enthusiastic and entitled when it comes to exercising their political influence and steering a country toward their ideals.

Disclaimer: In many ways I dislike the concept of nations altogether and think patriotism is just a tool for manipulating little people.

Americans have an infatuation with knowing their lineage, where their ancestors came from. Most of them were born and raised in the United States, they are Americans through and through. Most still probably haven't been outside the country at all. You're not an Italian American, you're not a German American, nor are you a French American. If you have dual citizenship, we'll talk.

For the rest of us... we're Americans.

My loyalties belong to my family and friends first, my state second, and my country third. Only when the needs of the first are met do I begin to care about the wants of the second and third. Lucky for me, things are pretty good, so I can afford to be a patriot.

God bless the united state, god bless the USA, and fuck anyone who fucks with me and mine.

My loyalties are probably to family and friends first, and then people who I think are decent or share my ideals/way of thinking.

I suspect loyalty to a country is mostly loyalty to the ideal version of said country from ones own idealistic viewpoint - which is probably going to be different to the source of someone else's loyalty to the same country. That or country loyalty is basically meaningless (but obviously useful for those in charge of the country).

You nailed it. My loyalty to our corrupt, war mongering leaders and deep state is questionable, but the love of the country I was told about as a child is absolute. I hope one day we can say we've made our forefathers proud.

There's a difference between loyalty to your countrymen and the US Government. Some things we must all agree upon if we're to be a nation. No one is ever going to be right all the time but if we don't have at least some ideals in common we have nothing.

I don't disagree but want to point something out.

Whites are the only ethnicity with a majority support for limited government, every other ethnicity prefers a bloated government.

http://www.pewforum.org/religious-landscape-study/compare/views-about-size-of-government/by/racial-and-ethnic-composition/among/religious-family/nothing-in-particular/

As demographics change to less whites, there'll be less people in america that support a government that is limited in power and authority - In a democracy this means that unless current trends change one way or another (either non-white people start valuing classical libertarian ideals or whites grow in relative size), you'll get a powerful authoritarian government.

We can't say with certainty to what degree it's cultural or biological, but does it even make a difference? They behave similar in the way they change. Both can change drastically after a major event, like losing a war or societal collapse, and both tend to change very slowly otherwise. Biology is changed only within generations, and culture acts very similar, it's slowly changed over generations.

If you were to say that "a true american not only labels himself a simply american but also supports classic american libertarian values", then it would be predominantly whites that are true americans. But that sounds much less political correct then an alternation of "I don't see skin color and pretty much despise everyone equally".

I completely agree. Racially based immigration quotas are the height of stupidity. We've flooded our country with people so quickly the ones that come no longer have time or inclination to assimilate. Moving here and immediately going on welfare should be illegal. If you can't afford to come and set up a life for yourself then don't come at all. There was no welfare when my ancestors came. I do see skin color, I'm not blind and never said I didn't. One just shouldn't hold that above their chosen nationality. I see America as a choice.

[–] oddjob 2 points (+2|-0)

Well, thats about the opposite of racist. But some people think not being racist means putting people with certain skin color on pedestals.

[–] Chiefpacman 2 points (+2|-0)

Racism is a made up idea to shame white people. If you think everyone is equally gifted, you’re thinking with your emotions.

[–] [Deleted] 1 points (+1|-0)

The only equality I believe in is "equality under the law". I don't even believe in hate crimes. In a nation built on free speech punishing or assuming one's "thoughts" is monumentally stupid.

[–] Chiefpacman 0 points (+0|-0) Edited

Yet we punish people all the time for their thoughts. White peoples

Meanwhile the brown people are getting handouts left and right, and are generally being handed easier lives. Purely based on skin color.

In retaliation I am racist where I can be. No more ‘burden of the white man.’ It’s war now.

[–] KFCNyanCat 1 points (+1|-0)

You're not racist. Nationalist, certainly. Xenophobic, possibly (depends whether you hate guests or not.) But not racist.

[–] [Deleted] 0 points (+0|-0) Edited

Pretty accurate. Some would call be "bigoted" and depending on your definition they may not be wrong. I see Islam as a vast collection of shit ideas not good for humanity. That's just like my opinion though. I also prefer corn beef and cabbage to broccoli. Maybe I'm a broccoli bigot? Regardless what anyone tells you. You're allowed to think. You're even allowed to think I'm shit. That's an American.

Hyphenated Americans is a tool to split us into tribes. No man can serve two masters type thing. Since one's own identity will take priority over that of strangers, it prevents us forming a unified whole.

I've read enough of your ramblings to know you're a race realist at most.

Edit: spelling
