Really puts into perspective how massive New York and LA are. But to be living in New York I'd be feeling so cramped. I say all the time I wouldn't want to go there, and people tell me I would love it. Major cities don't interest me, matter of fact they tend to scare me. There's just way too many people out here who are batshit crazy, and the older I get the odds only increase of me running into one of them.

I think there is a direct correlation. Humans require a minimum "personal space" and when that's violated on a constant basis it will result in aberrant behaviours.

Absolutely. We are just animals, and if you cram too many of us into the cage we're going to start acting aggressive.

The older I get, the more I think about this. When I was young, I could fall asleep anywhere and often did, waking up in strange places and houses.

And this is why the President is not elected by popular vote.

Would we want the President elected by NY and LA?

This is why state's rights are important, both areas have very different needs and economic capabilities, I just wish people would understand/respect the notion that what works for NYC may not work for north of Anchorage Alaska.
