It's just nice. People, so far, seem genuine. Over time this may fade, but for now the very small community is awesome. Good to see some familiar faces around here too. Good to see virtually no one taking themselves too seriously.

You guys are awesome, stay awesome. As an internet nomad, Voat was nice. But over the past few months logging in and seeing the popular posts there is simply disheartening and toxic. I've been a minority there for some time, I don't really fit in anywhere I go. It's the burden of the middle path.

I said it before, I'll say it again. I completely respected you on Voat for what you tried to bring to the table. I was on there a little over a year with a different name and I saw the shift. We all saw it, but your account in specific stood out in such a good way. I think you posted some spiritual stuff? Pretty sure I read some of your stuff about Buddhism, right?
Either way, I always remembered you being centered, hence your name. You tried to bring people down from extreme ends and see things clearly, and that is a damn hard thing to do on Voat. Thanks for it.
At what point did you ever start your subverse over there? I only remember catching wind of it towards the later end of my stay. I can't wait to start growing stuff, once I get done with this current cycle of stress.
We can do our best to not let what happened at Voat happen here. I don't want to look at it with cynicism, I'm charging full speed ahead in this beautiful place!
