Intrepid goat VoatSearch (a/k/a SearchVoat) posts voat comment and content stats regularly.
I was curious if there was any significant content drop-off in the days since voat came back online and I can tell you voat is steadily declining at a consistent rate.
I wanted a good baseline so I looked at the stats of the five weeks' worth of posts before the blackout. Each week enjoyed an average of 1,700 posts a day (some up to and above 2,000 posts).
Week ending on...
All was not well.
On April 27 PuttItOut commented like a right prick to /u/chmod here and here and subsequently lost the faith of many users who were already nervous about the state of voat. Many users said their goodbyes on voat and stopped posting.
Here we see undeniable evidence of the decline with the week ending April 29
/u/Owlchemy I saw a comment of yours here on Phuks where you wondered how many users have left. Judging by the content I'd say many. And I doubt they'll be returning.
Pretty sure empress isn't going back as numerous messages she got wished her a still born or disfigured children and that she dies during labor or calling her a tranny over and over.
There is a line you don't cross with shit, and they did with no one to really stop it so......she is likely never going back. Can't say I blame her because she poured her all into that sub and it showed.
Good thing is she started something good and it can be done again.
I won't go back to do more than look at the dumpster fire. No point really I feel. Then chmod, and many others saying to hell with it.
All they have left is dietcokehead and maybe some 4chan esk posters so nothing of actual content and over time people (real people) will leave and leave them to their own devices.
Voat did what it was supposed to I assume. Kept the undesirable away from Reddit and made them some money. Make no mistake if they won't tell the actual amount of donation they made a profit. Plus one guy did most the work he says.
