Sometimes people need to legitimately vent
I agree and Voat/Chans are great places for that, but if you log onto a site everyday and all it is is people venting it gets old quick and everyone has something to vent about.
Most people on voat used the downvote in only the most extreme circumstances
I'm pretty sure all PV did was brigade people whom they disagreed with.
But then again different strokes for different folks, give it a couple days here and decide how you feel.

We respected each other enough not to downvote even if we disagreed. The downvoting here is very reddit-like and will drive me off.
