Safety should be the main building factor.

I know its against code. Who's gonna report someone for an outward swinging door? Modify after buying. Its unsafe in the sense that with a few kicks or swings of a sledge hammer someone is in your home. At least use a cross brace if it's going to swing inwards. Home is your castle.

Increasing security is better accomplished with a brace on the inside. Cross, or angled.
An outward opening door is difficult to knock in, but it pries out fairly easy.

Ultimately though, you're only as secure as your weakest point, which is usually a sliding door or window. The froont door, even without brace, is rarely the weak point.

The big picture windows are insane. And sliders. 10 inch wide by two feet long windows much better options. Would really cut down on home invasions is security over pleasantry was foremost. Alot of new doors have glass built into them! Crazy.
