One of my uncles on my mother's side did a lot of research into his family history, and put in a lot of effort to find out more about our ancestors who came to America. He found out a ton, and traced our family tree all the way back to the first Garrido to come from Spain to America, which was in the early-to-mid 1700's, before the revolution.

This is a fridge magnet of the coat of arms of the family when they came. I don't completely know the meaning behind everything, but it's a very interesting thing to see. I thought you guys might like it.

EDIT: As I said in the title, her family's name has changed since the 1700's, and the name was bastardized, so I'm not accidentally doxxing myself or my family here.
