The ritual of plugging the pipe, the scent of pure tobacco not turned into chemical sludge (like cigarette tobacco is), the slow and steady smoking... It just tastes and feels amazing, and I never had anything like it in all my life. Conscious wine-tasting comes closest to it of all my life experiences, but pipe-smoking is still a very different beast even from it.
My pipe went out and needed to be relighted a lot, but I guess that is just teething troubles that will become less relevant as I learn better how hard I can plug.
Any pipe-smokers here?
on occasion i guess. I have a friend i see every now and then that's really into it. It makes my mouth water thinking about it now.
