Wolves cost about $2500-$5000 depending on location, breed, purity, breeder. They have an insane prey drive and an even crazier amount of energy. They will generally not get along well with most other pets though there are exceptions. There are also reports of wolf owners being challenged or even attacked by the wolf when they were sick (since a sick alpha is a weak alpha).
Go for German Shepherd/Husky mixes. They look a LOT like wolves, have the best of both breeds though tend to want to run like huskies. My dog is a mix like that. He's a challenge, incredibly smart so he gets bored easily. I also think he'd waste away if I ever disappeared.

Yeah I was talking to some native Americans a long while back who had some pet timberwolves on their reservation and that was the first thing they pointed out. Then the whole "expect to get nipped a lot" thing
I want a wolf sanctuary and my wife wants a cat sanctuary (as in domestic cats), what could possibly go wrong? I also wanted a squirrel room when I was younger but now that I've been bitten by one, I'm not so sure about that idea.
Luckily they don't carry rabies and the bite was clean so I didn't have to visit the ER.
I should buy a baby wolf. Or instead become a billionaire and buy a wildlife refuge and have a ton of them
